Today I had the chance to learn the basics of photoshop in my Digital Art class. The standard resolution for images made for the web is 72 DPI. The standard resolution for images made for print is 300 DPI. Two types of files that should always be saved are a working file which is a photoshop file also known as a PSD file and a exported image that has been flattened which is usually a jpeg or png. The purpose of the flattened image is to post on social media; it's considered a standard form of imagery. The purpose of the working file is to work on it. In conclusion, one is to work on and one is to post on social media.
