My name is Wylie Douglas. I am currently enrolled in Digital Art 1, and I had the opportunity to create my own song using Adobe Audition to edit different sound bites. I incorporated the sound of someone biting into a wonton and other crazy noises like my own recording for example. I decided to relate this to Wylie’s World in the sense that my recording at the beginning with the echo and other effects says, “it's Wylies World”. I created a dreamlike composition of sounds that reflects my personal life and world surrounding me. I had no idea that there were so many effects and possibilities within the Adobe Audition application, I had a great time messing around with the tools and creating my song. Prior to this assignment, I was not aware that you could edit sound on Adobe Audition. I most definitely plan on utilizing this application for future projects and my music introductions for my outside of school hobby. My favorite aspect of Adobe Audition which I plan to use more is the recording tool along with the echo and reverse effects. I tend to use a vocal introduction to my songs and this will definitely help me “spice things up”. I also appreciated the ability to overlap the soundbites I uploaded for the assignment. “Wylie’s World” will definitely give credit to this lab assignment due to the fact that my introductions are about to be amazing. My project is named “Good Morning” because it tells the story of my morning routine in a day of my life.
