Ricky Wylie was one of my favorite projects I had the opportunity to create this semester in my digital art class. I had the chance to use after effects, animation, green screens, photoshop, and adobe premiere to create a 2 to 3 minute video parody of myself as Ricky Bobby in Talladega nights. The scene captured the final race between Ricky Bobby and his opponent. I decided to use music that I have been listening to recently, including Yeat, Montana 99, along with a composition of noises I found online. This project reassured me of the fact that I now can use all of these apps to create art. Some of my favorite animations from the project include the long shot of me drifting on the race track from the right side to the left side of the screen. In order to create animations using after effects, I took a picture of my self with my arms and legs apart. Ricky Wylie is one of my favorite projects in digital art and I got to make something I like. I followed the concept of Wylies World and made it personal to me. I love this movie, I love race cars, and I love comedies so this was really enjoyable. Some of the effects I used were transitions, and a shutter effect to make the camera shake. I also chose to use a few scenes from Ford vs Ferrari. The video starts showing me watching a movie which happens to be Talladega Nights, and it portrays the crash scene on the race track. Moments later I fall asleep and wake up in the animation. I am Ricky Wylie.
