This digital art project in which I created a zine was a perfect outlet to express my creativity through my identity. This is Wylie's World, inspired by Astro World, which takes personal elements of my life to create a dream-like reality that I envisioned. I used my favorite places, people, memories, and pictures of my dogs and family to illustrate Wylie's World. It emphasizes youth, the essence of time, and the love of life. I am turning 20 and have reached a point in my life where I catch myself reflecting on how fast my childhood was and how quickly life moved on. There are so many important people in my life whom I parted ways from, and there were so many memories created that I will never forget. This World of mine is a collage of my life. There is also an egotistical aspect to this Zine in the sense that it is "Wylie's World." I want to thank my parents for raising me and making me who I am today. I would also like to mention my two amazing dogs back home that came into my life during COVID-19, Leo, and Lily. Lastly, I would like to credit my friends, the rest of my family, and the cinema and music that influenced my lifestyle. One thing I would like to thank my dad for is playing "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash on the way to school every morning, and I would like to thank my older neighbor for turning me on to Workaholics, Regular Show, Minecraft, and South Park. Wylie's World is based on the nostalgia in my life thanks to the significant influences around me in my childhood. My name is Wylie Douglas. I am from Los Angeles and couldn't describe my life in words; I hope this Zine gives you a glimpse into the World of Wylie.
